Accessibility
Everyone should be able to order a coffee.
Ford & Oak Coffee Roasters is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across this website, and we treat any gap between that goal and reality as a bug we need to fix.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML, descriptive alt text on every meaningful image, and proper heading hierarchy on every page.
- Keyboard navigability across all interactive elements, with visible focus rings.
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and interactive elements.
- Forms with associated labels, autocomplete attributes, and inline error messages.
- No autoplaying audio or motion that can't be paused, and animations that respect
prefers-reduced-motion.
In the café
507 N 6th Street is a single-level building with a ramp at the side entrance and an ADA-compliant restroom. We're happy to bring orders to tables and to read the chalkboard menu aloud for anyone who'd prefer that.
